‘Washed Away’ – A short poem of love, broken hearts and painful recovery.
I am washed away,
With memories and wishes today.
My words delicate, but like grenades,
How twisted they come out when I try to serenade.
You care for the stranger with the broken heart,
With or without knowing, he has become your mark.
Why is it up to you to undo his scars?
Now when he looks at his skin,
The life he lived is just imagination.
The pain you wanted to cause,
Means nothing if you say it with force.
Oh God how I have felt so lost,
The only truth I know comes through lies that to both cost,
And give a fools reward,
Of being able to know the truth of a man damned by God.
I am forever yours,
Forgive me if my reality is torn.
When freedom is not free,
Somebody has to pay every single way of you and of me.
