‘The Shifting Tides of You and I’ – is a poem linking the known to the unknown, and making space for imagination
I awaken aware,
I have been talking to my mind like there’s somebody there.
I look to the sky at night,
I can see stars and moonlight.
The moon God’s pupil,
The black night lies the eye’s iris, reverse of people.
Some how are we,
Looking from inside her eye at what she sees?
Her presence and focus shifting tides,
Just as the sunlight guides lives like mine.
Her other eye in the sky,
That radiates a world bigger than you or I.
When I look up at these eyes way up high,
I recognise all of her forms at the same time,
And all the ones she’ll ever be somehow are conceived.
These are some gifts for you and for me,
And this is just the start of what is yet to be.
