A Forgotten Time – a poem to depict the shadow cast by a crazy persons mind, and how we have the power to overcome that darkness
An obsidian soul casts no reflection,
How could it be caught by your attention.
First stones throne without sin did I mention,
What to do with evil in detention.
How widely would you set your walls,
And how many sets would you stand tall?
How long would you ignore wars call,
When something un-visioned whispers of our downfall.
“The enemy has ears”, a murmur I hear,
They have been through countless millennia of years.
They hear both sides and your fears,
Now you are here, they listen for your silent tears.
Can you trust your own,
The same as the ones on the throne.
Do you perceive with them alone,
Or discern with your minds constant drone.
Will someone else be to blame,
Would you deny a holy name.
Even though we might all be insane,
Aren’t we more or less the same.
If you’re still alive,
Then you may own your own time.
I cannot take what’s not mine,
I am still learning to realign my mind.
But, I can share with you a truth,
Our capabilities have no roof.
And your life has mountain deep roots,
Making the world a part of you.
