‘Cosmic Reality’ – a poem to annotate a small tribute to the light that brings my world to life and keeps me moving forwards
I’d like to be in a place,
Where anything I say or do that takes shape.
Would be a tribute to her and her grace,
The girl and woman that gives me faith.
The mother unbridled of any shame,
The lover who could never be to blame.
I know it’s much to ask,
I’m not a man to complete this task.
I may never be a father,
To burden a mind like mine, I believe a disaster.
So, as a child I will always be,
Alone walking in places you cannot see.
All I can say,
In an attempted humble way.
I’ll give you the space to be,
So you can live and breathe.
Whilst I watch from the other side of the galaxy,
At your cosmic energy.
That at the same time sets me free,
And undoes me by the seams.
But, what a beautiful dream,
For a second, it was just you and me.
