The Amazing Effect You Have – a poem to remind people what affect they have on people by just being themselves

It’s mainly aimed at loved ones, people with mental health issues or people with low self esteem. I wanted these people, who feel judged with double standards, or who feel too singled out or targeted to realise it may be because they have such a pull or natural affect like gravity on peoples attention. It can be hard always drawing focus when you just want to be left alone and be like everybody else. But you do make a difference, and it is probably more positive than you realise.

You don’t know the amazing affect you have on people,

If they are the followers, you are the church steeple.

They follow you like the planets orbiting the Sun,

Like magic you make them become one.

You’re the river bed that allows the river to flow,

It’s not just me who sees, they just don’t know they know.

You don’t know the amazing affect you make,

Because you’re always with you, so you always have to have a second take.
